Ragging in educational institutions is banned and any one indulging in ragging is likely to be punished appropriately, which may include expulsion from the institution, suspension from the institution or classes for a limited period or fine with a public apology. The punishment may also take the shape of;bal Managers
(i)❌ Withholding scholarships or other benefits,
(ii)❌ Debarring from representation in events,
(iii)❌ withholding results,
(iv)❌ Suspension or expulsion from hostel or mess, and the like.
If the individuals committing or abetting ragging are not/cannot be identified. Collective punishment can be awarded to act as a deterrent.
The following will be termed as the act of ragging vide UGC regulations 29.06.2016 and AICTE approval process handbook 2018-19
"any act of physical or mental abuse (Including bullying and exclusion) targeted at another student (fresher or otherwise) on the ground of colour, race, religion, caste ethnicity, gender (including transgender), sexual orientation, appearance, nationality, regional origins, linguistic, identity, place of birth, place of residence or economic background."
1. Students are requested to maintain the highest standard of behavior and discipline both inside and outside the college.
2. On the lecture time, students shall assemble in the rooms and wait silently for the lecturer.
3. They shall strictly observe the disciplinary rules framed by the College.
4. No student shall enter the class or leave the class without the permission of the lecturer.
5. Irregular attendance, discourtesy towards teachers, obscenity in word and act, willful damage to College property etc are liable for disciplinary action which includes expulsion from the College.
6. Attendance to the College functions like association meetings, College assembly, seminars, group discussions, Presentations, Industrial visits, Viva Voce, etc is obligatory to all students.
7. Loitering and wasting time on the College campus and canteen causes indiscipline on the College campus and that must be avoided.
8. The use of Mobile phones is strictly banned inside the academic block.
9. Every student shall attend at least 75% lecture during the semester. If the student is absent from the classes for more than 15 days then his name shall be struck off from the Institute.
2. Internal assessment awards depend upon the attendance, behavior and performance in the presentation as well as sessional exams.
